Michael Thomas is a writer and video producer based in Santa Cruz, California.

He has shot for Interscope Records, CBS Sports, HBO and The Discovery Channel.

In the spring of 2008, he filmed and produced a 30-minute documentary on the plight of Nepal's one-horned Asian rhino.

He has contributed to productions for clients including Ralph Lauren, Major League Baseball (MLB), the Natural Resources Defense Council, SF Schools Alliance and Volkswagen.

A commercial spot he filmed appeared on the Toys'R'Us Jumbotron in New York's Times Square.

Also an accomplished writer and journalist, Michael was Managing Editor of two Santa Cruz County news publications with 40k+ weekly distribution during a five year period of growth for both titles. He developed compelling storyboards, directed staff and freelance writers, while also writing weekly cover stories.

Michael has a deep connection to the Asian subcontinent, having lived and worked for extended periods in both Japan and Nepal. He holds a degree in Anthropology from Pomona College in Claremont, California.

In the off moments, Michael restores vintage motorcycles and windsurfs on California's Central Coast.
